Hreggviður Jónsson, Chairman
Mr. Jónsson has extensive management experience in various industries. Prior to acquiring Vistor, he was the CEO of Northern Lights Communications, Iceland’s largest media and entertainment group. He has also worked as CFO for the Icelandic Broadcasting Corporation, as Management Consultant for McKinsey & Company in Sweden, and as a Marketing Manager at Brimborg, one of Iceland’s largest automobile importers. Mr. Jónsson has been a board member of various companies.
Mr. Jónsson holds a Bachelor´s degree in Economics from Macalester College, Minnesota, and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.
Guðbjörg Alfreðsdóttir
Mrs. Alfreðsdóttir has over 30 years of experience of pharmaceutical sales and marketing, of which she has been in leadership positions for over 20 years. Throughout the years she has represented the pharmaceutical industry in various tasks where she has either been appointed by the industry or the Government. She is the industry’s representative on the Pharmaceutical Price and Reimbursement Committee. She is also a member of a working group, appointed by the Minister of Health, whose purpose is to follow through on the Price Agreement made with the Government in 2004. Mrs. Alfreðsdóttir was appointed by the Minister of Health to represent the industry on a committee with the task of revising the Pharmaceutical Act from 1994, and to develop future pharmaceutical strategy for Iceland. The committee completed the task in 2007. Mrs. Alfreðsdóttir is also appointed by the Minister of Health in the working group that is to put the strategy into action. She is also on the board of Frumtök, the Icelandic Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Mrs. Alfreðsdóttir holds a Master Degree in Pharmaceuticals from University of Iceland and The Royal School of Pharmacy in Copenhagen. She also finished an AMP program at INSEAD in 2007.
Guðrún Högnadóttir
Mrs. Högnadóttir is the director of Executive and Continuing Education at the Reykjavik University and an adjunct of strategy and leadership at the department of business. Gudrun also leads the University´s work with FranklinCovey and works as an executive coach. She is a former partner of Deloitte Consulting in Iceland (now Capacent) and has extensive experience in the health care sector. She held positions as director of quality management and human resource development at Icelandic National University Hospitals. Gudrun has participated in the development and board management of a number of professional and commercial organizations. Gudrun holds BSPH and MHA degrees in health care management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
