Vistor hf was granted the title of “Model Company of 2006” by the Commercial Workers’ Union of Reykjavík (VR) in its annual survey carried out among employees of 70 Icelandic companies. The Union’s survey to find the company of the year in 2006 was the most extensive to date and reached out to almost thirty thousand employees in the private sector of the labour market as well as the public sector.

The Union’s survey took working conditions and job satisfaction into acount. Several key issues were addressed, including management credibility, wage terms, working conditions and flexibility in the workplace. Employees were also asked about the possibilities of independent decision-making in their jobs, the working atmosphere, and whether they were proud of their company - for further information on the outcome visit www.vr.is.  The questions were based on a scale of 0–5, and Vistor’s overall score was 4.16. It goes without saying that Vistor’s employees are very proud of this achievement.
